The Podcast of Power Returns With Exclusive Bear McCreary Interview Ahead of The Rings of Power Season Three

Weirding Way Media's The Podcast of Power returns for its second season with an exclusive interview featuring Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary, whose music has helped shape the world of Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Hosted by Mike White of The Projection Booth and Chris Stachiw of The Kulturecast, The Podcast of Power combines episode-by-episode analysis of the Prime Video series with conversations about J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, its adaptations, and the expanding world of Middle-earth.

The new season revisits all eight episodes of The Rings of Power Season Two, including Sauron's return, the creation of the Rings, the fall of Eregion, Numenor's political upheaval, and the conflict that reshapes Middle-earth. The season is designed to bring listeners back into the story before Season Three premieres on Prime Video on November 11, 2026.

In the season premiere, McCreary discusses the challenge of creating a musical language for one of fantasy's most recognizable worlds. The conversation explores themes written for characters, kingdoms, and cultures of the Second Age, including musical connections among Galadriel, Numenor, and Eregion.

“Bear McCreary's music doesn't merely accompany The Rings of Power. We couldn't imagine a better way to return to Middle-earth or begin this new season of the podcast.”

Season Two of The Podcast of Power will feature weekly episode discussions, listener mailbags, and conversations that examine the series through Tolkien's writings, screen adaptations, music, and the history of Middle-earth. The season will lead listeners toward the new Prime Video episodes while offering context for the story's changing world.
