MILWAUKEE, Wis., October 7, 2026, MugatuAI has introduced Signal, a private-beta browser-based control designed to help teams protect sensitive information when using public AI tools.

As employees use browser-based AI assistants for writing, research, analysis, and development, sensitive data can be pasted or uploaded in seconds. MugatuAI says Signal is designed to check prompts, clipboard pastes, and uploads locally on the device before information is transmitted to a public AI service.

Signal’s public product site describes a local policy layer that can identify and mask items such as credentials, customer data, source code, infrastructure details, and other business-specific patterns. The company says the approach is intended to preserve useful AI workflows while reducing the risk that confidential information is shared outside approved channels.

“Nobody logs on in the morning planning to leak company secrets or personal data, but in the flow of getting work done with modern AI assistants, slips happen in seconds,” said Christopher Carter, Founder and CEO of MugatuAI. “Signal is designed for every human being who wants to tap into the power of AI without the lingering anxiety of an accidental leak. We put safety right at the glass, making sure privacy and data protection are automatic, invisible, and effortless for everyone.”

According to MugatuAI, Signal is available for private-beta requests and is intended for individual professionals and enterprise teams that want browser-level safeguards for AI use. The company’s public pricing information describes annual professional and enterprise plans, while private-beta requests are reviewed manually.
